Description

On the walk home from dinner with friends a small car filled with young men drove past. As they passed by me they slowed down, opened the rear passenger door that was closest to me and shouted something out in Arabic. As I continued my walk the car drove past again in the opposite direction and carried out the same action.

As a woman it is bad enough having to walk home on roads with very little lighting without having to deal with being intimidated by the mindless actions of a group of young men. This is not the first time that such an incident has happened and under the current circumstances, where men have no regard for the impact that the actions which amuse them may have on the victim, it will not be the last.
